This site is dedicated to Islais Creek, one of the last remaining riparian habitats in San Francisco. We encourage that members contribute both contemporary and historical data and photos of Islais Creek.
Currently, Islais Creek and the entire Central and Southern Waterfront districts are threatened by industry, development and gentrification, thanks to SF Redevelopment, Muni Light Rail, Lennar Corporation, Catellus Corporation, the Port of San Francisco, and many others who have vested financial interests in the last frontier of San Francisco.
